Die Neuerungen im Überblick:
- Für eine verbesserte Kühlung der Hardware bei einem dauerhaften Einsatz des Zortrax M200 Plus ist ein zweiter Radiallüfter eingebaut worden. Der Kühler soll Herstellerangaben zufolge für eine dauerhafte Kühlung der obersten Komponente am Hotend sorgen.
- Der Antriebsmechanismus erhielt eine Anpassung und soll Filamente jetzt besser verarbeiten können. Ein dritter Lüfter dient dazu, das gedruckte Objekt abzukühlen. Der übrige Teil des Hotend bekam an einigen Stellen eine Überarbeitung und Verbesserung.
- Ein bald endendes Filament wird durch einen neuen Filament-Sensor erkannt, worauf der 3D-Druck automatisch pausiert und dem Anwender die Möglichkeit gibt ein neues Filament einzulegen.
- Der Zortrax M200 Plus verfügt außerdem über einen USB-Port, was auf Kosten des SD-Kartenslots geht, der beim Vorgänger M200 noch verbaut war.
- Außerdem ist beim M200 Plus das Touchscreen-Display erweitert worden, um einerseits eine höherer Benutzerfreundlichkeit zu bieten und andererseits Einstellungen zeitsparender zu ändern.
Die
integrierte WLAN-Schnittstelle erlaubt es 3D-Daten per Funk an den 3D-Drucker zu übermitteln und so zum Beispiel die Firmware zu aktualisieren
