The Snapmaker U1 Top Cover 3D printer enclosure was developed specifically for the Snapmaker U1.
It creates an enclosed print chamber with more stable temperature control and automatic airflow management for a wider range of materials.
The right temperature for your filament
Internal air circulation retains heat in the build chamber, while external circulation removes excess heat when using materials with lower temperature requirements. This means the airflow does not need to be adjusted manually for each material.
The closed enclosure uses heat from the heated print bed to passively warm the chamber to up to 50 °C under suitable conditions. The more stable environment can reduce warping and support more consistent layer adhesion with suitable engineering filaments such as ABS, ASA, PA and PC, which are sensitive to rapid cooling and temperature fluctuations.
Three-stage filtration and quieter operation
A pre-filter, activated carbon and HEPA filtration make up the three-stage air filtration system. In internal recirculation mode, the air is continuously filtered to reduce fine particles and volatile compounds from the printing process.
The closed enclosure also helps reduce airborne operating noise. This makes printing more comfortable in living spaces, studios, workshops and offices.
Quick access to the print chamber
The removable magnetic front door allows you to check prints, carry out maintenance and remove finished parts without having to remove the entire Top Cover. The enclosure remains fitted throughout.
