The INDX 8-Tool Conversion Kit is a tool-changing system for the CORE One/+ 3D printer that allows up to eight independent print heads to be used. Each material gets its own dedicated path through the printer, making it possible to combine rigid and flexible parts, use easily removable or soluble support structures, and print multicolour models without wasting material.
The nozzles are heated contactlessly through an induction coil on the smart head and can reach temperatures of up to 300 °C. Temperature is measured wirelessly and without contact as well, making tool changes especially reliable. The extrusion drive automatically adapts its grip to different filaments, while the tools themselves are held in place by a mechanical coupling.
Key specifications
- Up to 8 tools on the CORE One+
- 1.75 mm filament diameter
- Nozzle sizes from 0.25 to 1.0 mm
- High-flow nozzles made of nitrocarburised steel
- Maximum nozzle temperature of 300 °C
Installing the system slightly reduces the build volume: by 2 mm on the X axis and 15 mm on the Y axis. With the system installed, the available build volume is 248 × 205 × 270 mm (X × Y × Z).
A wide range of materials can be processed, including PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS, PC, PA, TPU, PVA and BVOH, as well as other non-abrasive materials up to 300 °C. This makes the system suitable for both technical applications and creative multicolour prints.
